This year was the first ever ABS Global Photography Contest and the entries definitely exceeded expectations! Thank you to all who entered and submitted pictures for consideration!
Due to the response, we plan to make this an annual event so if your picture wasn’t selected this year don’t give up just yet. Keep those cameras handy around the farm and ranch at all times; you never know when the next great picture will happen.
Below are the top 3 winners. Please note these are just the 3 winners of the contest, pictures selected for use in the 2012 Annual ABS Beef Calendar will come out with the calendars later this fall.
1st Place submitted by Plinio Queiroz of Brazil. Titled "Touro Novel" a Nelore bull at ABS Pecplan in Brazil.
2nd Place submitted by Eric Johnson of Wisconsin. ABS inseminated heifers heading to pasture at Grizzly Ranch in Walden, CO.
3rd Place submitted by Vasco Neto of Brazil. Picture is of an Angus bull class at Expo Londrina 2011 in Londrina City, Parana, Brazil.
