ABS Global, Inc. is fortunate to have been involved in developing, proving and marketing some of the most influential sires in Angus history. The list includes bulls that started the performance movement in the 1970s to bulls that made performance mainstream and led the breed for registrations over the last two decades.
These industry greats have generally sold out quickly after their passing and have been off the open market for years. ABS has however, retained a special genetic reserve inventory on many of these bulls, typically setting aside 20-50 units for future validation and research. While we will continue to retain a portion of this inventory for those purposes, the decision has been made to share this unique and valuable resource with the industry.
This semen will be offered through a special internet auction hosted through the American Angus Association’s new internet auction service AngusTradingPost.com. This initial auction will kick off with the Angus Association’s annual meeting and events during the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville, Kentucky.
