ABS enjoyed seeing and visiting with those in attendance of the 2013 National Western Stock Show. It was an exciting and fast paced 2 weeks.

- Several Divisional winners in the ROV female, Junior female and both Bull Shows
- Congratulations to Express Ranches, Seldom Rest Farms and Dameron Angus for exhibiting Dameron First Impression, Reserve Grand Champion Bull in the 2013 NWSS Angus Open Bull Show
- Congratulations to G13 for exhibiting G13 Bravo, Reserve Grand Champion Angus Sale Bull
- The high selling lot in the 2013 Bases Loaded, sired by BRILLIANCE, Ankonian Ayres 302, sold for $100,000 to French River Cattle Co. and Gastonwood Angus United Kingdom
- UPSHOT’s 1st progeny made a huge splash for the week sweeping the yards! 6 daughters sold in the Bases Loaded and Angus Night on the Mountain sales averaged just over $17,000; with 5 heifer pregnancies offered in the Bases Loaded also commanding an average of $8,200.
- Congratulations to Express Ranches for exhibiting both the Champion Pen of 3 and Champion Angus Carload – both groups were lead off and anchored by the 1st UPSHOT sons
Angus Night on the Mountain II –
- IMPRESSION females were the top sellers at the Angus Night on the Mountain II sale at Spruce Mountain Ranch. Lot 8, Spruce Mtn Blackbird 2304, sold for $44,000 to Herbster Angus Farm
Bases Loaded Sale
- The annual Bases Loaded Sale featured several ABS sired progeny and genetic packages. This year’s sale grossed $724,100 with 39 Lots averaging $18,567.
- High selling – Lot 6, Ankonian Ayres, sired by BRILLIANCE
- Lot 1 – Baldridge Waylon, sired by PROTEGE sold 3% interest to Rollin Rock, A&B Cattle Company and Scheer Spear U for $39,000
- Lot 29 – Shady Brook Titan, sired by MOTIVE, sold to Kiker Angus, Spruce Mountain Ranch, Jacs Ranch, Vin Mar Cattle and Sooline Cattle for 1/2 interest at $30,000
- Lot 23 – L/R Victoria Springs 2091, one of the first public auctioned 2U66 daughters, brought $12,000
National Western Angus Foundation Female Sale
- Sale Grossed $811,555 with live cattle average of $7006
- Top Open Heifer – Lot 63 – RB American Gal 890-250, sired by OBJECTIVE 7125 and full sister to AMERICAN MADE, sold to Widholm Family Cattle for $50,000
- Top Embryos – Lot 150 – 2 Frozen embryos sired by HOOVER DAM, sold to J.J. Scheckel for $6,000
- 2nd high selling embryos – Lot 217A – 4 frozen embryos sired by C C & 7, sold to KDS Angus for $6,400
